Hi *|FNAME|*,

Despite the challenges presented during 2020, Youthlaw continued to do what a community legal centre does best; supporting young people facing disadvantage to overcome their legal problems.

The Youthlaw team have been outstanding in their ability to adapt services to the COVID environment, and ensure that young people received the help they deserve.

We were sad to farewell some staff who left to take on new opportunities, but thrilled to welcome several wonderful new staff.

We achieved some great gains in the advocacy space, and lifted our public profile through increased media activity.

You can learn more about our achievements in our 2019-20 Annual Report. I encourage you to take a moment to read about the wonderful work of our lawyers, social workers and volunteers.

The Annual Report also includes many powerful stories about the young people we assist, as well as the high-impact programs and services we deliver.

As always, securing funding for our programs is hard with so many community services, universities and other entities all competing for philanthropic grants, slim target government grants and even the fundraising dollar.

As we prepare for a well-earned break, I ask you to consider an end-of-year donation to Youthlaw. Your donation ensures that young people experiencing homelessness, mental ill-health, family violence and other disadvantages are given a fighting chance to overcome legal issues that prevent them making a fresh start.

I wish you a safe and peaceful festive season.

Regards,

Ariel Couchman, CEO
