You can also call us on (03) 9113 9500 (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm).

Please note: Usually we get back to you within a day or two, but in rare cases it can take up to 5 days for us to respond.

In regard to parent inquiries we will provide legal advice if it is about police interactions or criminal charges but usually we will suggest you to ask your son or daughter to be the one to contact us.  We do have a number of fact sheets on our website you may want to look at ( eg. about fines or school suspensions/expulsions) . We have a fines self help kit you can use.  You could also call VLA ( see below) and they can provide very helpful legal information on a range of legal issues related to your children.

In regard to school expulsions & suspensions have a look at our fact sheets. We can only give parents and students basic information and can’t provide representation. You might want to contact Parents Victoria who assist parents.

For legal advice you can also call Victoria Legal Aid’s Legal Help phone line on 1300 792 387 . They provide free advice over the phone from 8.45 am to 5.15 pm, Monday to Friday.  They also have a range of comprehensive fact sheets on their website. They will determine if yiu meet VLA guidelines and if so refer you in house to a lawyer. If not they will provide information & referral

If you need to talk to someone or get support in the meantime, call Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800 or Lifeline on 13 11 14 (for over 18s). You could also contact headspace.
